My New Favorite Toy: Kindle

Sooooo.... two days ago I wrote an AWESOME post about my new Kindle eReader. Well, you are going to have to take my word for it because this morning Blogger ate my post. Bastards!

I'm too tired tonight to be interesting or funny, so here is the eReader's Digest version:

My husband bought me a Kindle for my birthday. It was the best gift I ever got that I thought I didn't want. Knowing what I know now, I can't believe I almost had him return it. Fortunately, he knows me better than I know myself because now I love it.

Here are 3 reasons why I think you should buy a Kindle-

#1 They are super cheap now. Seriously, $114. Can't beat that!

Kindle, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology

#2 The $114 version, which is $25 off the normal price, gives you special offers. Granted, too many of them are just advertisements for Buick but quite a few are actually good offers. The first one I redeemed was "Spend $10 on Kindle books and get a free $10 Amazon.com Gift Card." Pretty awesome deal if you ask me!  They also offer coupon codes for $1 Kindle books and $20 Amazon gift cards for $10.

#3 Free books. As I have said a million times, if it's free its for me! Here are a few I think sound worth reading:

And one of my favorite books of all time The Count of Monte Christo by Alexandre Dumas

If you want a little fancier version, here are some of the other Kindle deals Amazon has going on right now:

So click above & buy one. Then come tell me how much you love it!

  1. I got mine as a birthday gift as well. I am totally in love with it.
Honestly, the only bad thing about my kindle is that not all books are available on it. Otherwise, it's perfect!

  2. I received a Kindle for Mother's Day. Love it. I bought Every Word for 99 cents and love playing it too. It's a word game. There's a site where you can sign up to receive daily emails about free books being offered by Kindle. http://www.ereaderiq.com/

I have over 200 books on my Kindle now thanks to this site. :-)

  3. hubby bought both of us kindles before Christmas and we both use them everyday.
I check the free list everyday, we both now have more than 600 books on our Kindles and only bought about 5-6 of them.

I don't like clutter and ebooks sure keep those bookshelves from getting even fuller.

  4. I just did a post debating my choice between the Kindle and the Nook. Overwhelming advice I have gotten - go with the Kindle. Glad to see another glowing recommendation making me feel good about my choice!
